Although we take on all areas of property maintenance, our speciality is Carpentry and Joinery. We cater for the smaller end of the market, specializing in one-offs and small quantities.

Our projects cover a wide range from constructing windows and standard ledge and brace doors to designing and creating gallery display pieces to customized radiator covers and conference and event staging.

Our most requested items can be found in the list below, however this list is not exhaustive and we are happy to entertain any requests. You can also find pictures on this page of some of our work.

For further information on the following categories of our carpentry and joinery, please click the links at the top of the page for:

  • Sash and Casement Windows

  • Ledged and Braced Doors

  • Gates, Decking, and Garden Features

  • Repairs and Refurbishments

Location and Appointments

At Appletree, our carpentry and joinery projects are carried out from our premises in Bisley. Customers are invited to visit upon appointment (to ensure we are there) or we can visit your home or business at a time that suits you. We understand a convenient time for customers may not be your typical eight to five, Monday through Friday, so night time and weekend appointments are welcome.
As much as possible, we carry out all work in our workshop and flat pack to bring to your home, eliminating inconvenience and mess.

Approach

We are a small company who pride ourselves in providing a solid service at a reasonable price. We are not threatened by larger companies who have their place producing large quantities and replicate products. Our approach is friendly and personal; understanding that customers enjoy having unique items that can emulate their personality throughout their home or business.
From concept explanations to detailed design and itemized quotations to final installation, Appletree Property Services is dedicated to customer satisfaction.

Flexibility

When you know what you want:
We believe that understanding a customer’s requirements is a must to any successful project. It is important to us that you are happy with the end result and we go to great lengths to ensure this. If you already know what you want we will listen carefully and / or review your designs and plans. We will provide open and honest feedback as to whether we can meet your needs as described. If we feel there is something that you may not have considered, we will advise you but no pressure tactics whatsoever will be utilized.

When you are not quite sure what you want:
Taking from our experience and knowledge, we can suggest ideas for your consideration. If for instance, you are deciding between a built in wardrobe and a free standing armoire, Appletree can advise which would be most feasible. If you are unsure if that favourite corner table can be mended or it’s time to bring in the new; Appletree will give you an honest assessment.

Again we are flexible depending upon your budget and particular situation. We can provide a full end to end service including painting and installation or deliver the unfinished item for you to complete as you see fit.

If you enjoy DIY, but do not have all of the necessary equipment we can machine wood or sheet materials to the sizes you require.

Materials

Appletree will work with the materials you have chosen or we can choose the materials ourselves. We shop for the best deals but always with quality in mind. If the occasion lends itself, we will buy in bulk for cost reductions which we pass on to our customers. We construct from hard or soft woods or sheet materials such as plywood and MDF.

Whether the task is repairing a damaged piece of furniture or building a new wardrobe, woodworking is the heart of our business. We appreciate antiques and the rustic aesthetics of older items. Although we do not specialize in antique restoration, we do use ageing and distressing techniques to sympathetically match repairs of older furniture or apply to new pieces to keep with the surroundings such as in cottages and period homes.
